So I know this is actually a very common kind of post, but I wonder how many of those who actually make these resolutions keep them in mind for the rest of the year and actually see if they accomplished them by next year.
I have never made New Year's resolutions, I always thought it would just be something fun to do while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate at home because the shops are closed during the Winter Holidays. :)
This year, I've decided I will take advantage of them for the first time in order to keep a strategy in mind for the upcoming year. I actually think it is healthy to set some goals once in a while. People never stop to think seriously about what they want in life. Of course, all of us have some goals in mind but are they specific enough? If you just think I want a better job without really reflecting upon it, you will just end up wishing for that job for a long time and never getting it. If you set a deadline, it might put a little pressure on you and let's admit it, we need a push sometimes.
So here are some of my resolutions:
♥ Eat healthier. I don't really eat junk food or anything but I am not satisfied either with the way I eat, because later in life it will mater how much you have taken care of yourself. My strategy includes cutting out sugar as much as possible, drink more water and at least 1 cup of green tea per day, hitting the gym 4+ times per week and eat mostly raw foods.
♥ Study harder. Once I stop procrastinating so much, I am sure the part that involves studying will come more easily. :) I also enjoy reading books, but I just don't do this as often as I used to. I came across this website randomly and I found the challenge of reading 1 book per week really interesting. While I don't think I can keep up with this rhythm, I decided to read 1 book every 2 weeks. This Romanian guy has this website that promotes the exact same idea, reading 1 book per week. He even got sponsored by a publisher who would provide him with books that he would have to review afterwards.
♥ Go to Paris. I have been to Paris several times before but I just never get tired of its vibe and culture.
♥ Enjoy life as much as possible.
What are some of your resolutions? I would love to hear and maybe even "steal" some of them. :)
Those are great resolutions. I just wrote a post about New Year's resolutions that is set to go live tomorrow. I always seem to have a resolution to read more.

Thanks!I will definitely read your resolutions as well, it's so much fun and inspiring to see what other people wish for.xo
ReplyDeleteI must admit, I am one of those people who do not make resolutions, but I do make plans - which might be the same thing, who knows? - which I then do my very best to live out. So far it has worked pretty well, although I haven't made it to Venice or Florence yet!
ReplyDeleteYes, I guess people just call them resolutions but in fact they are plans. It's nice that you actually stick to them and it works for you. Maybe when you go to Italy you can make it both to Florence and Venice that way you accomplish both destinations :) I have been to Venice this summer and it was definitely worth it!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog, its fun and inspiring. Thanks for sharing
